Western New Mexico University Athletics

Tom Walsh is the first golfer to be inducted in the WNMU Athletic Hall of Fame. Walsh graduated from WNMU with a major in marketing and a minor in economic in 1972. For two straight years, Walsh was First Team All-RMAC and finished second overall in conference.

While at WNMU, Walsh was also a member of Alpha Phi Omega.

After his college career, Walsh coached golf for three years. As a coach, Walsh produced two Academic All-District 7 All-Americans, four First Team All-Conference players, and three First Team All-District 7 players.
