Western New Mexico University Athletics

Arlene Kilpatrick came to Western New Mexico University from Nacogdoches, Texas. Kilpatrick is the founder of women’s athletics at WNMU as well as the key sponsor of the Women’s Athletic Association, WNMU cheerleaders, and Cardinal Key.

Kilpatrick also chaired for the Department of Physical Education for 17 years, the Curriculum Committee, and the Graduate Council. Furthermore, Kilpatrick served as the Dean of Women for seven years.
