Western New Mexico University Athletics

During her years as a student at WNMU, Cross participated in many extracurricular activities. Cross was a member and officer in the Women’s Recreation Association. She was also involved in the Rodeo Club, Physical Education Majors and Minors (PEMM), and a member of the New Mexico W.R.A. State Champion Softball Team.

Many years later, she returned to WNMU as an instructor and a coach. Cross coached women’s track and field, and from 1984-1987, she was the head coach of the women’s basketball team.
