Matt Enriquez, a 2006 Western New Mexico University graduate, is currently serving as the Associate Athletic Director of Internal Operations. He transitioned into this role after serving as both an assistant and head coach with the WNMU men’s basketball team.

As a player, Enriquez set multiple records during his four-year career, finishing with 1,591 points, 510 field goals, 197 three-pointers, 350 rebounds, 223 assists, and 32 steals. He scored a season-high of 466 points twice, once as a sophomore and again as a senior, consistently averaging double digits in scoring each season.

Enriquez played in 105 games, starting 82. Since the 1999-2000 season, he ranks among the school’s all-time leaders in several categories, including most points in a game (40), field goals made in a game (14), and free throws made in a game (12). He also tied for fourth in field goal percentage for a game with at least eight made (.833, 10-12) and tied for sixth in three-point percentage for a game with at least six made (.667, 6-9). Enriquez recorded five steals in a game three times, ranking tied for fifth in that category.
