Western New Mexico University Athletics

Juan Vasquez was named to the First-Team District 7 NAIA as a fullback in 1959. Other honors that season included First-Teamm Frontier Conference as a fullback and Most Valuable Player.

During the 1960 campaign, he was co-captain and also named to the All-Conference Team.

In 1961, he was once again named All-Conference and to the Second-Team Frontier Conference.
