Academic Services
Advising
First and second year student athletes will meet with Jackie for academic advising and course registration.
Incoming transfer student-athletes will meet with Miss Jackie before transitioning to their assigned faculty advisor within their academic program.

Eligibility Monitoring
All student athletes will work with Jackie to monitor NCAA and institutional academic eligibility requirements. Regular eligibility checks help ensure student-athletes remain on track for competition and degree completion.
Tutoring
Student athletes seeking academic assistance are encouraged to contact Jackie. She can connect you with a peer tutor or help you access tutoring services through the Math Lab, Writing Center, and other campus academic support resources.
Laptop Checkout
Laptops are available for checkout in the Athletic Achievement Center Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
If you need to use a laptop outside of the Achievement Center, please contact Media Technology Services at media_technologies@wnmu.edu to arrange a laptop rental.
Athletic Achievement Center
The WNMU Athletic Achievement Center (AAC) is available to all WNMU student athletes and serves as a dedicated space for academic success. The AAC is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (hours may vary during holidays, university breaks and home game days).
Student-athletes can check in for study hall, borrow a laptop, meet with peer tutors, study in a quiet environment, and take advantage of free printing services. Whether you need a place to focus, complete assignments, or receive academic support, the AAC is here to help you succeed both in the classroom and in competition.
Admissions
Applying to WNMU
All prospective student-athletes must complete an application for admission to Western New Mexico University before they can be admitted and register for classes.
You can submit your application online by clicking HERE.
After submitting your application, be sure to regularly check your email and application portal for updates regarding your admission status and any additional documents that may be required.
Office of Admissions
To receive a Final Admission decision, the Office of Admissions must receive your official transcripts from all previously attended institutions.

Testing Center
Some students may be required to complete the Accuplacer Placement Test for appropriate placement in mathematics, reading, and writing courses.
The Accuplacer may be completed on campus or remotely.

Financial Aid, Billing & Scholarships
Financial Aid & FAFSA
Submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each academic year is an important step toward receiving financial assistance.
To complete your FAFSA:
After your FAFSA is received, you may be required to submit additional documentation before your financial aid award can be finalized.
You can monitor your financial aid status through Mustang Express.
