DALLAS, Texas - The Western New Mexico Women's Tennis team completed the end of a three-game road trip to Dallas, Texas with a final match against the Savage Storm of Southeastern Oklahoma State. The Mustangs would lose this match 4-0.
In doubles, No. 2 pairing of
Mann-Ning Li (Converse, TX/John H. Guyer HS) and
Gabriella Blumberg (Casper, WY/Kelly Walsh HS) lost a close battle 2-6. This would be enough to gave to the Savage Storm the doubles due to the No. 3 spot defaulting in favor of SEOSU. No. 1 duo of
Livia Leite (Cunha-SP, Brazil/Bernardino Querido,) and
Ana Sofia Montero Villegas (Caracas, Venezuela) would have their match go unfinished.
For singles, No. 3
Andreea Arnautu (Laval, Quebec, Canada/College Laval), fell in her match 0-6, 0-6. Penciled in at No. 1 was Leite, going down 2-6, 0-6. With a default at No. 6 in favor of the Savage Storm, this was enough points for a Savage Storm win.
No. 2 Li, No. 3 Montero and No. 5 Blumberg would have their matches go unfinished.
The Mustangs will be back in action next on March 12
th for a three-game road trip starting Azusa Pacific
