Women's Tennis drop match at Wichita

Wichita Falls, TX – The Mustangs took the morning to conclude their visit to Wichita Falls to face against Midwestern State, in a Mustangs vs Mustangs showdown.

The match concluded with the Western Mustangs falling 0-7.

The morning started with the Mustangs pairing up to battle in duos with the duo of Carmena Lucia and Sofija Krstic (Knjazevac, Serbia/Gymnasium 9th May) exiting the court first, conceding the match 2-6. The second duo to exit the court was Eva Guta (Bucharest, Romania/Liceul Teoretic C.A. Rosetti (Romania)) and Xaviera Melgar (Tacna, Peru/Alexander Von Humboldt School), 1-6. The last duo off the court were Nikoletta Pytel (Warsaw, Poland/Cosinus Lódz (Poland)) and Josefina Bailetti (Pergamino, Buenos Aires, Argentina/Colegio Nuestra Señora del Huerto) who dropped the match 3-6.

The Mustangs continued the match, this time in singles with the first Mustang to exit the court being Pytel, conceding the match 1-6, 0-6. Guta left the court next with a 0-6, 2-6 score, followed by Carmena, dropping the match 1-6, 1-6. Bailetti fought a hard fight but eventually came short 2-6, 5-7. Melgar exit the court fifth falling 1-6, 0-6. The last Mustang to exit the court was Krstic, conceding the match 4-6, 1-6.

This concluded the morning at Wichita Falls with a final score of 0-7.

The Mustangs will conclude their season, with the last match of the season against the Cameron University Aggies in Lawton OK, tomorrow on the 25th.
