Box Score GLENDALE, AZ - The Western New Mexico Women's Tennis Team took a trip to Glenndale, Ari. for three matches in two days. Match one would come up against the Firestorm of Arizona Christian. The Mustangs fell 7-0.
In doubles, the No. 1 duo of
Mann-Ning Li (Converse, TX/John H. Guyer HS) and
Livia Leite (Cunha-SP, Brazil/Bernardino Querido,) quickly defeated the Firestorm's Deondra Bacchus and Madelin Monroy 6-2. No. 2 paring
Gabriella Blumberg () and
Ana Sofia Montero Villegas () were taken down by Lucy Rekasch and Ella Lavendaer 2-6, giving the Firestorm the doubles point.
As for singles, No. 3 Montero was the first Mustang to fall at the racket of Vittoria Quadri 2-6, 1-6. Slotted in the No. 4 spot is
Andreea Arnautu (Laval, Quebec, Canada/College Laval), she lost 2-6, 2-6 to Rekasch. Playing No.5 was Blumberg, dropping her match to Lavender 2-6, 3-6.
Earning the No. 1 spot was Leite, as she took her opponent to three set, before dropping to Bacchus 0-6, 6-2, 4-10. Li played No. 2 for the Mustangs today, losing a heart breaker to Monroy, 7-6 (7-4), 3-6, 5-10.

The Mustangs will be back in action tomorrow for two matches against Ottawa (AZ) and Colorado-Mesa.
