ALAMOSA, Colo. – With three games remaining in the regular season, the Western New Mexico University football team will hit the road this Saturday as they will play at Adams State University beginning at 1 p.m.
WNMU enters with a 2-6 overall record and 1-5 mark in the RMAC. They will be looking to snap a five-game losing streak and also pick up their first road victory of the season (0-4).
Mitch Glasmann (Temecula, CA/Chaparral) has thrown for 3,039 yards and 22 touchdowns, completing 228-of-392. His main targets have been
Xavier Ayers (Albuquerque, NM/Albuquerque) who has 69 catches for 1,087 yards and four scores.
Marques Rodgers (Gardena, CA/Serra) has added 53 grabs for 527 yards and four scores, while
Larry Young II (San Diego, CA/Morse HS) leads the team in touchdown receptions with nine, hauling in 52 passes for 795 yards. Even Beebe has brought in three touchdown passes, while
Michael Ball (Rowland Heights, CA/Rowland),
Cole Coffeen (Springerville, AZ/Round Valley) and
Gordy Longville (Tucson, AZ/Ironwood Ridge) all have touchdown receptions. On the ground Rodgers has gone for 918 yards on 154 attempts and seven touchdowns.
Individually several Mustangs rank high both in the conference and nationally. Glasmann leads the nation in both passing yards and passing yards per game (379.9), he is fifth in total offense per game (374.4), 10
th in passing touchdowns, 19

Defensively,
Darius Guillory (Temecula, CA/Chaparral) leads the team in tackles with 55, including 23 solo and a fumble recovered.
Juwan Sumpter (Fallbrook, CA/Fallbrook HS) is second in tackles with 45 and has 13 pass breakups and 14 defended. Sumpter ranks 11
th nationally and first in the RMAC in passes defended per game (1.8).
Alfonso Wilson (San Diego, CA/Morse) leads in tackles for loss with 10 and also has two sacks and an interception.
Aaron Leauma (San Marcos, CA/Mission Hills) leads in sacks with three and also has 5.5 tackles for loss and 43 tackles.

The Grizzlies are 3-5 overall and 3-3 in the RMAC. Adams State has two straight wins against Black Hills State (44-24) and New Mexico Highlands (17-13).
On the ground, Addie Brown leads the way with 380 yards on 99 attempts and a touchdown. Rashad Hall adds another 307 yards on 71 attempts and two scores. At quarterback, Austin Hillman and Johnny Feauto have each passed for over 1,000 yards with Hillman going for 1,085 and Feauto with 1,015. Feauto has seen a majority of the action over the past few games. Six players have caught over 100 yards through the air led by Phil Romero's 520 yards on 39 catches and a score. James Holtrop has 516 yards receiving and six touchdowns. On defense, Ryan Holland leads the way with 52 tackles, including 38 solo. Quincy Davison leads in tackles for loss with 8.5 and in sacks with 5.5.
Last year, the Mustangs rallied from 19-points down to defeat the Grizzlies, 40-36, in Silver City. The previous year in 2013 in Alamosa Adams State came away with the 41-20 victory. WNMU will try to win for the first time in Alamosa since the 2007 season when they came away with a 16-14 victory.
