Biography

High School: Was a Scout.com two-star recruit, as he quarterbacked team to the CIF Southern Section Championship as a senior. He was named the CIF Southern Section Offensive Player of the Year. During his junior year, the team finished as CIF Southern Section finalists, while he was named to the Second-Team All-League and Second-Team All-Valley. He passed for 4,690 yards, 44 passing touchdowns and 27 rushing touchdowns for his career. He posted a 25-4 career record as a starter.

WNMU (2012): He is coming off a banner year where he was named Offensive Freshman of the Year, setting Division II era (since 1993) school records for passing yards and touchdowns in a season. He threw for 3,139 yards and 27 touchdowns, completing 249-of-426. He broke the marks that were previous set in 2011 by David Ingram who amassed 2,927 yards passing and 24 touchdowns. He had two games where he threw for over 400 yards and three others that went for over 300. His highest total came against Colorado Mines when he passed for 435 yards and four touchdowns which helped him be named RMAC Offensive Player of the Week after WNMU won that game, 54-28. He threw four touchdowns three times, against Sul Ross, Fort Lewis and Colorado Mines which were all wins. He ranked 28thnationally in total offensive yards at 284.18 per game and 45th in passing efficiency with 135.53.

WNMU (2013): He had yet another standout season as signal caller, completing 209-of-395 passes for 2,876 yards and 26 touchdowns. He had a long of 93 yards and an efficiency rating of 131.2. Ranked in the top-30 in the nation in passing yards (30th), yards per game (19th), passing yards per completion (30th), passing touchdowns (26th) and total offense (27th). Threw for over 300 yards in four games and had a high of 471 against Western State, which set a new career-high for yards in a contest.


WNMU (2014): He broke his own career and program records since the team moved to Division II in 1992-93 from his freshman season throwing for 3,543 yards and 33 TD this season, both new program marks. Nationally, he landed in sixth in passing touchdowns (33), sixth in passing yards (3,543), seventh in passing yards per game (322.1). In the RMAC he was third in passing yards per game, fifth in passing efficiency, fourth in total offense, second in total offensive touchdowns, as he added four on the ground. He was selected to the All-RMAC honorable mention squad. In helping lead the Mustangs to their best offensive production since moving to Division II, he threw for at least 200 yards in 10 games, with six going for over 300 yards and two eclipsing 400. He tossed a season-high 477 against New Mexico Highlands in which he tallied four touchdowns. He tallied four TDs in five games. He also rushed for four scores, all coming in the final four games of the season.
