Wichita Falls, TX. – The Western New Mexico University men's golf team finished up the final round of the Midwestern State Invitational in Wichita Falls, Texas and ended in 17th of 18 teams. The Mustangs had a final round of 297 (+13) for a three round total of 304-298-297 (+47) at Wichita Falls Country Club.
Jacob Alcorta (Silver City/Silver HS) led the way for the Mustangs and followed up his opening two rounds of 75-73 with a final round 73 (+2) to finish in a tie for 42nd.
Max Kaesebier (Bad Langensalza, Germany/Pierre-de-Coubertin Gymnasium) was next for the Mustangs with a final round of 73 (+2) for a +13 total to finish in a tie for 69th.
Jonty Butcher (Barnsley, GB/Penistone Grammar School) finished up the final round with a 77 (+6) for a +14 total to finish the tournament in T72nd.
Jack Wadsworth (Plain City, UT/Fremont HS) and
Jayden Schmitz (Oro Valley, AZ/Ironwood Ridge HS) would both finish at +19 total in a tie for 88th with rounds of 77-81-74 and 79-74-79 respectively.
Next up, The Mustangs will head to Pueblo, Colorado for the Sam Proal Invitational, March 30-31st at Pueblo Country Club.
