Men's Golf Finish the Oak Tree Invitational

Edmond, OK. – The Western New Mexico University men's golf team finished up the final round of the Oak Tree Invitational in Edmond, Oklahoma and ended in 17th of 18 teams. The Mustangs had a final round of 327 to go along with their opening round 315 for a two round total of (+82) at Oak Tree Country Club.

Jacob Alcorta (Silver City/Silver HS) led the way for the Mustangs and followed up his opening round of 75 (+5) with a final round 81 (+11) to finish in a tie for 55th. Jayden Schmitz (Oro Valley, AZ/Ironwood Ridge HS) was next for the Mustangs with a final round of 80 (+10) for a +19 total to finish in a tie for 69th. Max Kaesebier (Bad Langensalza, Germany/Pierre-de-Coubertin Gymnasium) finished up the final round with an 81 (+11) to finish the tournament in T69th.

Jack Wadsworth (Plain City, UT/Fremont HS) would finish with a final round 85 (+15) to finish the event in tied 92nd. Rounding out the lineup for the Mustangs, Elijah Salazar (Santa Fe, NM/Saint Michael's HS) finished with a round of 85 (+15), ending the tournament in 101st.

Up next, The Mustangs will head to Wichita Falls, Texas for the Midwestern State Invitational, March 23-24th at Wichita Falls Country Club.
