San Antonio, TX. – The Western New Mexico University men's golf team finished up the final round of the Rattler Invitational at Dominion Country Club and ended in 15th of 16 teams. The Mustangs had a two round total of 306-306 (+36) for day one in San Antonio.

Max Kaesebier (Bad Langensalza, Germany/Pierre-de-Coubertin Gymnasium) led the way for the Mustangs finishing with rounds of 73-77-79 for a +13 total and ended in a tie for 53rd. Jayden Schmitz (Oro Valley, AZ/Ironwood Ridge HS) was next for the Mustangs and would have rounds of 81-74-75 (+14) to finish the event in T58. Jacob Alcorta (Silver City/Silver HS) also ended the tournament in T58th with a +14 total. Alcorta would have rounds of 77-74-79 for the event.

Jack Wadsworth (Plain City, UT/Fremont HS) finished the event in a tie for 79th with a three round total of 78-81-82 (+25). Elijah Salazar (Santa Fe, NM/Saint Michael's HS) rounded out the lineup with a final round of 76 to go along with his opening two rounds of 78-88 to finish the event with a +26 total and in T81 individually. As an individual, Jonty Butcher (Barnsley, GB/Penistone Grammar School) had a three round total of 85-77-83 (+29) to finish in 84th.

Up next, the Mustangs will travel to Stockton, CA for the RJGA Stockton Invitational, hosted by the RJGA from February 23-24, 2026.
