COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - The Western New Mexico women's tennis players Eva Guta (Bucharest, Romania) and Lucia Carmena (Alcala de Henares, Spain/Cet Alcala) played in the Colorado College Invitational.
Carmena lost her first match 2-6, 2-6, but bounced back winning her second match 6-3, 6-3. Guta won her first game 7-5 but lost her second 4-6 and the tiebreaker 1-10.

"The first day of our fall season opener marked an important start to the weekend," said Head Coach, Jesus Baltazar. "Our team performed well, with several players advancing to the semifinals of the tournament. This strong showing highlighted both our current strengths and the areas we need to focus on as we prepare for tomorrow's matches"
Sunday morning will wrap up the Colorado College Invitational, as the two will play for a chance to win the Colorado College Invitational.
