SILVER CITY, N.M. – Western New Mexico University senior Arnav Arkanath (Milton Keynes, GB/Sir Henry Floyd HS) has been named a 2024–25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), recognizing his outstanding academic and athletic achievements.
Arkanath competed in all 10 tournaments during his senior season, finishing with a 74.6 stroke average and helping lead the Mustangs to a 2023-2024 NCAA Regional Championship. Off the course, he graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA and earned the NCAA Elite 90 Award, given to the top academic performer at the Division II Men's Golf Championship.
He is one of 207 Division II student-athletes nationwide to receive the prestigious honor, which requires a GPA of 3.2 or higher, participation in at least 50% of team rounds, and strong character and standing on campus.
