Portales, New Mexico - Track & Field continues its 2025 season in Portales, New Mexico, attending the 2025 Lone Star Conference Outdoor Championships hosted by Eastern New Mexico University. On day two of the LSC Championships, the Mustangs competed in field and running events.

Field Events:
           On the women's side,
Naomi Kimble (Animas, NM/Animas HS) competed in the High Jump event. She placed 14
th with a height of 1.51m (4'11.5").

           On the Men's side,
Michael Parker (El Paso, TX/Pebble Hills High School) competed in the Discus event. He placed 17
th with a throw of 35.54m.

Running Events:

           On the Women's side, Jeannette Rivers ran the 800 800-meter run. She placed 21
st with a time of 2:25.01.
Veronika Garcia (Tucson, AZ/Cienega High School) also ran today for the Mustangs. In the 400 400-meter hurdles, she placed 23
rd at 1:12.13.

           On the Men's side,
Tristan Pierce (Raton, NM/Maxwell High School) and
Wyatt MacKay (Phoenix, AZ/North Canyon High School) ran the 800 800-meter run.
Tristan Pierce (Raton, NM/Maxwell High School) placed 16
th with a time of 1:56.89.
Wyatt MacKay (Phoenix, AZ/North Canyon High School) placed 18
th and finished the race with a time of 1:57.22. Last for the Mustangs,
Malik Barrens (Pecos, NM/Pecos HS) ran the 400 400-meter hurdles with a time of 58.36 seconds, placing 11
th overall.

The Mustangs will now continue on to day three of the Lone Star Conference Championships.
