Former Mustang All-American golfer
Calum Hill (Kinross, Scotland) shot an incredible closing 62 Sunday to gain his second DP World Tour win at the Joberg Open in South Africa. The 2016 grad outlasted Shaun Norris and Jacques Kruyswijk in a three-way playoff that ended on the second playoff hole as Hill recorded the only par. Hill started the day eight shots back on overnight leader Shaun Norris, who faded badly but sneaked in a birdie putt at the last to set up the playoff.
Hill played on for the Mustangs from 2013-16 and then served as a graduate assistant for two more years before heading back to his native Scotland to begin his pro career. Hill was the runner-up in the 2016 NCAA Championship as a senior. In his four years as a pro, he's won more than 2.5 million dollars.Â
