Phoenix, Arizona - Track & Field continues its 2025 season in Phoenix, Arizona. Attending a meet hosted by Paradise Valley Community College. Cody McBride started at 10 a.m. MDT with Women's Javelin and Women's 100m Dash starting for the Mustangs.
Field Events:
On the Women's side,
Trinity Rios (Silver City, NM/Cobre High School) started off the Mustangs in Javelin, placing 8
th with a throw of 23.83m. Next,
Naomi Kimble (Animas, NM/Animas HS) competed in High Jump placing 6
th with a height of 1.43m (4'8").
Daphne Clark (/) competed in both Shot Put and Discus. In Shot Put, she placed 8
th with a throw of 10.59 earning a new PR for her career. In Discus,
Daphne Clark (/) threw 30.16m placing 11
th overall.
Running Events:
On the Women's side,
Nayeli Cobos (Dexter, NM/Dexter HS) competed first for the Mustangs. She ran the 100m Dash placing 12
th with a time of 13.27 seconds.
Veronika Garcia (Tucson, AZ/Cienega High School) was next for the Mustangs competing in the 400m Hurdles.
Veronika Garcia (Tucson, AZ/Cienega High School) created a season-best with a time of 1:14.29, placing 5
th for the Mustangs.
Jeannette Rivera (El Paso, TX/Young Women's Leadership Academy) and
Isabella Medina (El Paso, TX/Americas High School) competed in the 800m Run.
Jeannette Rivera (El Paso, TX/Young Women's Leadership Academy) placed 5
th with a time of 2:23.84 creating a new PR.
Isabella Medina (El Paso, TX/Americas High School) right behind her, placed 7
th with a time of 2:26.36 earning a new season best.
Nayeli Cobos (Dexter, NM/Dexter HS) will return for the Mustangs to run the 200m Dash.

th with a time of 27.29 seconds. Finishing off for the Mustangs the Women ran the 4x400m Run.

For the Men,
Malik Barrens (Pecos, NM/Pecos HS) was the first to compete. Running the 400m Hurdles,

th with a time of 59.21 seconds, creating a new Personal Record (PR). Next for the Mustangs,
Wyatt MacKay (Phoenix, AZ/North Canyon High School) and
Rene Arambula (San Elizario, TX/San Elizario HS) competed in the 800m Run.
Wyatt MacKay (Phoenix, AZ/North Canyon High School) crossed first out of the Mustangs placing 5
th with a time of 1:58.01. Next for the Mustangs,
Rene Arambula (San Elizario, TX/San Elizario HS) placed 18
th with a time of 2:04.94 creating a new PR. Finishing for the Mustangs, the Men competed in the 4x400m Run.

The Mustangs will travel to Claremont, CA for the Pomona Pitzer Invitational hosted by Pitzer College. The next meet is scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2025.
