Mustangs Wrap Up Midwestern State Invitational with 9th place, Feschuk Places 4th

WICHITA FALLS, Texas — The Western New Mexico University men's golf team concluded the Midwestern State Invitational at Wichita Falls Country Club, finishing in 9th place with a three-round team total of 898 (+46). The Mustangs posted rounds of 298 (+14), 303 (+19), and 297 (+13) in the competitive field.

Oscar Feschuk (Toronto, Ontario, Canada/St. Michael's College School) highlighted the team's performance, securing 4th place individually. Feschuk delivered consistent play with rounds of 71 (E), 73 (+2), and an impressive 70 (-1) in the final round, finishing with a total of 214 (+1).

Arnav Arkanath (Milton Keynes, GB/Sir Henry Floyd HS) and Max Kaesebier (Bad Langensalza, Germany/Pierre-de-Coubertin Gymnasium) tied for 51st place, each posting a total score of 232 (+16). Arkanath recorded rounds of 75 (+4), 79 (+8), and 75 (+4), while Kaesebier shot 74 (+3), 75 (+4), and 80 (+9). Both players contributed steady performances across three rounds.

Tomas Ribeiro (Porto Seguro, BR/Evolução Centro HS) finished in 63rd place with a total of 233 (+19), carding scores of 79 (+8), 76 (+5), and 78 (+6). Ribeiro showed improvement in the middle round, staying competitive throughout.

Jayden Schmitz (Oro Valley, AZ/Ironwood Ridge HS) rounded out the lineup for the Mustangs, finishing in 67th place with a total of 234 (+21). He posted rounds of 78 (+7), 81 (+10), and 75 (+4), finishing strong in the final round.

Western New Mexico now shifts its focus to the RJGA Palm Valley Classic, scheduled for April 7–8 at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona. The Mustangs aim to build on this experience and deliver a strong performance in their next event.
