WICHITA FALLS, Texas — The Western New Mexico University men's golf team is competing at the Midwestern State Invitational hosted at Wichita Falls Country Club. After two rounds, the Mustangs sit in 10th place with a team score of 609 (+33), opening with a 294 (+14) in Round 1 followed by a 315 (+19) in Round 2.
Oscar Feschuk (Toronto, Ontario, Canada/St. Michael's College School) leads the way for WNMU, tied for 7th individually. Feschuk has played consistently well, shooting a 71 (E) in the first round and a 73 (+2) in the second, totaling 144 (+2).
Max Kaesebier (Bad Langensalza, Germany/Pierre-de-Coubertin Gymnasium) is tied for 30th, recording rounds of 74 (+3) and 75 (+4) for a total of 149 (+7). Kaesebier has demonstrated solid play across both rounds.
Arnav Arkanath (Milton Keynes, GB/Sir Henry Floyd HS) is tied for 54th, scoring a 75 (+4) in Round 1 and a 79 (+8) in Round 2 for a total of 154 (+12).
Tomas Ribeiro (Porto Seguro, BR/Evolução Centro HS) is tied for 56th, improving in the second round with a 76 (+5) after opening with a 79 (+8), bringing his total to 155 (+13).
Jayden Schmitz (Oro Valley, AZ/Ironwood Ridge HS) is tied for 70th with rounds of 78 (+7) and 81 (+10), finishing with a total of 159 (+17).
The Mustangs return to action tomorrow morning at 7:30 AM for the third and final round of the tournament.
