Boulder City, NV. – The Western New Mexico University men's golf team finished up the final round at the National Fall Preview at Boulder Creek Golf Club and ended in 16th. The Mustangs had a final round team score in Nevada of 299 for a three round total of 883 (+19).
Oscar Feschuk (Toronto, Ontario, Canada/St. Michael's College School) led the way for the Mustangs again with another impressive round of 71 for a three round total of 70-71-71 (-4) to finish the tournament in T23.
Jonty Butcher (Barnsley, GB/Penistone Grammar School) was next for the Mustangs and was consistent again with a final round 72 to finish with a 74-73-72 (+3) total to finish the event in a tie for 54th.
Jacob Alcorta (Silver City/Silver HS) followed behind with a 77 in the final round and finished with a 76-70-77 total and a T70th finish.
Jayden Schmitz (Oro Valley, AZ/Ironwood Ridge HS) finished up the day in T85 with a round of 79 for a 75-76-79 (+14) total. Rounding out the lineup for the Mustangs was
Tyler Jackson (Deming, NM/Deming HS) who finished the day with a round of 81 for a total of 86-75-81 (+26) and a T92 finish.
Results
The Mustangs will look to improve on a tough week as they prepare for the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invite hosted by West Texas A&M in Amarillo, TX, October 14th.
