Boulder City, NV. – The Western New Mexico University men's golf team finished up the first day at the National Fall Preview at Boulder Creek Golf Club. The Mustangs are currently in 13th place out of 17 teams after 36 holes with a team score of 295-289 (+8).
Oscar Feschuk (Toronto, Ontario, Canada/St. Michael's College School) led the way for the Mustangs with steady rounds of 70-71 (-3) and is currently in T18 after the first day. 
Jacob Alcorta (Silver City/Silver HS) followed behind with a rebounding 70 in the second round after an opening 76 and is currently in T52 out of 94. 
Jonty Butcher (Barnsley, GB/Penistone Grammar School) was next for the Mustangs and was consistent with rounds of 74-73 (+3) which currently has him in a tie for 57th.
Jayden Schmitz (Oro Valley, AZ/Ironwood Ridge HS) finished up the day in T78 with rounds of 75 and 76 for a +7 total and will look to move up tomorrow. Rounding out the lineup for the Mustangs was 
Tyler Jackson (Deming, NM/Deming HS) who finished the day with rounds of 86-75 (+17) which has him in 94th.
The Mustangs will look to get off to a quick start tomorrow as they prepare for the final round, October 7th in Boulder City.
