Amarillo, TX. – The Western New Mexico University men's golf team finished up the final round at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational at Amarillo Country Club and ended in 15th. The Mustangs had a final round team score of 293 in Amarillo for a three round total of 889 (+37).

Oscar Feschuk (Toronto, Ontario, Canada/St. Michael's College School) and Jonty Butcher (Barnsley, GB/Penistone Grammar School) led the way for the Mustangs through three rounds, both finishing at a +9 total. Feschuk would have rounds of 74,73,75 and Butcher would have rounds of 78,72,72 with both finishing at T66. Jayden Schmitz (Oro Valley, AZ/Ironwood Ridge HS) was next for the Mustangs and would finish in a tie for 74th with rounds of 74,78,72 for a +11 total. Jacob Alcorta (Silver City/Silver HS) finished the tournament in a tie for 83rd at a +14 total with three rounds of 78,73,76.

Jack Wadsworth (Plain City, UT/Fremont HS) finished with a final round of 74 to go along with his opening two rounds of 74,81 to finish with a +16 total and in 85th individually. Rounding out the lineup for the Mustangs as an individual was Tyler Jackson (Deming, NM/Deming HS) who had a three round total of 77,69,76 (+9) highlighted by a brilliant 69 in the second round. Jackson would finish in a tie for 66th at the conclusion of the tournament.

Results

The Mustangs will end the fall season here in Amarillo and will look to continue to make strides over the off-season before gearing back up to kickoff the spring season at the Rattler Invitational in San Antonio, February 16, 2026.
