WICHITA FALLS, Texas - The Western New Mexico University Men's Golf team finished up the Midwestern State Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. After three rounds of golf, the Mustangs finished 9th at (+47), 302-308-289-899.
Adam Niles (Kamloops, BC/Valley View Secondary HS) leads the way for WNMU, T-10th at (+7) 73-75-72-220. Niles added nine birdies for the tournament. Next in line was
Tomas Ribeiro (Porto Seguro, BR/Evolução Centro HS) T-30th at (+13), 78-78-70-226. Ribeiro had six birdies.
T-37th is
Arnav Arkanath (Milton Keyes, GB/Sir Henry Floyd HS) and
Joey Geary (Phoenix, AZ/Sunnyslope HS) at (+15). Arkanath went 77-77-74-228 with six birdies, while Geary's card read 74-80-74 and eight birdies.
Max Kaesebier (Bad Langensalza, Germany/Pierre-de-Coubertin Gymnasium) finished T-44th at (+16), 78-78-73-229. Kaesebier managed five birdies.
Dallas Baptist took home the tournament title at (+25). Odessa College takes second at (+26) and UTPB rounded out the top three at (+32).
Adam Bresnu of Odessa College defeated Wyatt Provence of West Texas A&M in a three-hole playoff to win the invitational at (-2).
