SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Western New Mexico University Women's Golf Team finished up their second tournament of the 2024 Spring Season, The Rattler Invitational hosted by St. Mary's University. After three rounds of play, the Mustangs took 8th place with a scorecard of (+71), 314-314-308-936.

Brooklynn Maes (Las Cruces, NM/Centennial HS) finished T-11th at (+9), 76-75-74-225. Maes made nine birdies. Next up for the Mustangs is Taysea Powell (Artesia, NM/Artesia HS), T-30th at (+17), 77-81-75-233. Powell recorded five birdies in the tourney.

T-39th is Shandiin Harper (Farmington, NM/Piedra Vista HS) at (+22), 79-80-79-238. Harper had four birdies. Sophomore Alexandria Klemke (Goodyear, AZ/Estrella Foothills HS) finishes T-48th at (+28), 84-78-82-244. Klemke sunk four birdies over her three rounds of play.

Falyn Lackey (Hobbs, NM/Hobbs HS) rounds out the lineup, T-52nd at (+32), 82-86-80-248. Lackey made four birdies.

West Texas A&M took the tournament crown at (+6). St. Mary's finished second at (+32) and Henderson State rounded out the top three at (+33).

Lorenza Perini of West Texas A&M won the tournament at (-8). Her teammate Anna Nomrowski and Libby Kilbride of St. Mary's would tie for second at (-1).

The Mustangs will be back in action on March 4th in Litchfield Park, Ari. on the Wigawam Resort - Red Course for the Southwest Minnesota State Invite.
