GOODYEAR, AZ. - Western New Mexico University Women's Golf team finished the final day at the RJGA Shootout at Estrella, in T14 out of 16 teams. The team finished with a combined score of 640 (+64).
The final round of the tournament saw Nicole Jasso (Deming, NM/Deming High School) shoot a team best of 76 (+4) on the final day of play, putting her total to 158 on the tournament which placed her at T51. Corynn Speer (Alamogordo, NM/Alamogordo, HS) finished the day with a 78 (+6) to go along with yesterday's score of 72 giving her a team best of 150 for the tournament placing T17. Speer got two birdies on the day putting her tournament total to 6.
Falyn Lackey (Hobbs, NM/Hobbs High School) finished her tournament with a total score of 159, placing her at T56 after shooting a final round score of 81. To round out the lineup, Erin Turner (Deming, NM/Deming HS) shot a 94 with a tournament total of 174, and Kelly Peden (El Paso, TX/Eastwood High School) had a 93 putting her total at 176. Turner and Peden would place 84th and 85th. The individual Cheyenne Lane (Alamogordo, NM/Alamogordo High School) finished in 87th after shooting a 95, which gave her a total 189.
The Women's Golf team will be back in action on October 19th and 20th in Wichita Falls, TX at the Midwestern State Invitational.
