Adam Niles Takes Second At The RJGA South Central Shootout

RUIDOSO, N.M. - The Western New Mexico University Men's golf hosted the RJGA South Central Shootout on Monday morning at the Inn of the Mountain Gods GC. After finishing round three on Tuesday morning, Mustang finished 6th at (+2), 286-284-296-866.

Senior Adam Niles (Kamloops, BC/Valley View Secondary HS) returned to form in the event claiming 2nd place at (-6), 69-72-69-210. Niles recorded 12 birdies and two eagles.
5th-year veteran Joey Geary (Phoenix, AZ/Sunnyslope HS) finished T-9th  after a disappointing closing round at (-8), 68-68-77-213. Geary had 10 birdies and three eagles.

T-24th is Tomas Ribeiro (Porto Seguro, BR/Evolução Centro HS) at (+4), 74-71-75-220. Ribeiro had 12 birdies and an eagle.

Arnav Arkanath (Milton Keyes, GB/Sir Henry Floyd HS) sits at 43rd at (+9), 75-79-76-225. Arkanath made 10 birdies.

Kyle Mahan (San Antonio, TX/Lady Bird Johnson HS) finished 51st at (+14), 75-79-76-230. Mahan had five birdies.

T-66th is Seth Lackey (Hobbs, NM/Hobbs HS) at (+17), 81-80-81-242. Lackey would have seven birdies.

Jack Wadsworth (Plain City, UT/Fremont HS) finished T-68th at (+27), 82-81-80-243. Wadsworth made nine birdies.

Also, T-68th was Max Kaesebier (Bad Langensalza, Germany/Pierre-de-Coubertin Gymnasium) at (+27), 77-80-86-243. Kaesebier managed six birdies.

West Texas A&M secured the tournament title at (-11). In second was Colorado Christian at (-5) and Colorado State – Pueblo followed for third place at (-3).

Sangha Park of UTPB won the invite at (-10). Tying Niles for second at (-6) is Victor Estas of West Texas A&M and Adam Duncan of Colorado Christian.

The Boys will be back in action for the Ryan Palmer Invite on Oct. 2nd at 8:00 AM MT.
