IRVINE, Calif- Mustangs competed for the very last time at UC Irvine in Irvine, California before taking on Lone Star Conference.

This weekend marks the last post season meet before the Mustangs prepare for the Lone Star Conference Championships hosted by Lubbock Christian University. Gracey Lovato set out to break her season personal best in the 5000m run and succeeded. She finished the regular season with a major 17:59.81s time, placing her 7 spots higher than the previous conference standings. 

The men looked to shine once again as Aaron Perez (El Paso, TX/Eastwood HS) broke the school record in the 5000m for a second time this season. He flew through the finish with a 14:39.72s mark and moved one spot forward in the Conference standings, placing himself 6th the conference field. His time was followed by an outstanding performance from Rowan Flores (Española, NM/Los Alamos HS) who also set a new season best with a time of 15:10.88s. This position moved him forward 9 spots in the Conference standings as he looks to finish top 15 in the Conference next weekend. The entire men's team was able to break 16 minutes in the 5000m last night.

The Mustangs will head to the Lone Star Conference Championships in Lubbock, TX on May 4-6. Live results for the championships will be uploaded on the LSC website.
