LA QUINTA, Calif. - The Western New Mexico University Men's Golf team continued the DII Prestige/Battle in the Desert at PGA West Mountain Course in La Quinta, Calif. After round two the Mustangs sit in8th at (+8), 292.
Arnav Arkanath (Milton Keyes, GB/Sir Henry Floyd HS) sits tied for 2nd at (-3), shooting a 69. Arkanath would record seven birdies in round two, this give him nine for the tournament.
T-24th Adam Niles (Kamloops, BC/Valley View Secondary) at (+2), carding a 72. Niles would finish with two birdies and an eagle giving him six for the tournament.
Joey Geary (Phoenix, AZ/Sunnyslope HS) is T-36th at (+4), with a scorecard of 74. Geary would record two birdies on the day, giving him five birdies on the day.
T-57th is Anthony Lara (Anthony, NM/Gadsden HS) and Adam Samnegard (Norrkoping, SWE/Hagagymnasiet HS/Garden City CC) at (+8). Lara shot an 80 while Samnegard shot a 77. Lara's round would include five birdies, giving him 10 birdies in the tournament.
CSU San Bernadino currently leads the tournament at (-5). Second Place is Chico State (-4). Third place is Cal State San Marcos at (-2).
 John Kim of CSU San Bernadino sits in first place at (-7). Tied for 2nd is Arkanath, Tyler Ashman and Giuliano Kaminski of Chico State, Nathan Jelton of Stanislaus State and Mark Williams of CSU San Bernadino at (-3).
The Mustangs will finish the DII Prestige in La Quinta, Calif. tomorrow.
