Goodyear, AZ - The Western New Mexico University Women's Golf team concluded their time at the RJGA Shootout at Golf Club of Estrella, in Goodyear, Ari. The Mustangs would finish 9th out of 15 teams, with a final score of 615 (307-308) and would card a (+39).

Shandiin Harper (Farmington, NM/Piedra Vista HS) led the pack T-16th shooting a (+5), with a final scorecard of 149 (77-72). Alexandria Klemke (Goodyear, AZ/Estrella Foothills HS) would score a (+7), carding a 151 (71-80). This would put her in a tie for 22nd.

Taysea Powell (Artesia, NM/Artesia HS) finished T-42nd finishing (+13) with a total score of 157 (79-78). Chelsea Medina (Silver City, NM/Silver HS) shot a 159 (80-79) which would rank her T-52nd at (+15). Mia Trousdale (El Paso, TX/Eastwood HS) would shoot a 164 carding her a (+20), leading to her finishing at T-67th.

Taking first place was Arkansas Fort-Smith with a score of 588 and shooting (+12). In second place is Cal State San Marcos with a score 589 and shooting a (+13). And rounding out the top three was UT Tyler shooting a (+16), with a scorecard of 592.

UT Permian Basin's Arnie Taguines took first place with a score of (-4)  and carding a 140. Sydney Williams of Arkansas Fort-Smtih would come in second at (-3) with a scoredcard of 141.In third place would be Cal State San Marcos' Breann Horn as she would shoot a (-1) with a total score of 143.

The mustangs will be back in action at the Sonoma State Invitational on October 3rd.
