Mustangs Finish 11th at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout

Alameda, CA – The Western New Mexico University Men's Golf team concluded the Cal State University Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout. At the end of three rounds, the Mustangs finished 11th out of 17 teams, as they were (+16). The Mustangs as a team shot 292, 286, and 302.

Adam Samnegard (Norrkoping, SWE/Hagagymnasiet HS/Garden City CC) finished T-22nd being (-1) shooting 69, 72, and 74. Adam Niles (Kamloops, BC/Valley View Secondary) finished the shootout T-46th, shooting (+5) with a 74, 75, and 72. Joey Geary (Phoenix, AZ/Sunnyslope HS) ended T-54th, carding a 73, 72, and 80. 

Aaron Perales (Deming, NM/Deming HS) concluded being T-74th at (+13) ending his rounds with a 82, 71, and 76. Arnav Arkanath (Milton Keyes, GB/Sir Henry Floyd HS) finished T-78th, having a tough third round. He shot 76, 71, and 84.

CSU Monterey's Liam Allder and CSU East Bay's Ananjan Kaushik shot (-9) to lead the field. In third is CSU Stanislaus's Michael Jura III, who shot (-8).

Taking the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout is CSU Monterey Bay, being (-18). CSU San Bernardino placed second place ending with (-12) and CSU Stanislaus placed third at (-10).

The Mustangs will head to Texas A&M-Commerce playing in the Lion Invite at the Trophy Club Country Club on March 21st.
