Kent, England – Former Mustang Calum Hill won his first European Tour golf tournament Sunday as the WNMU graduate survived a nail-biter in the Cazoo Classic at the par 72 London Golf Club. Hill's rounds of 68-67-70-67–272 (-16) was one shot clear of France's Alexander Levy. Hill, who is currently the 150th ranked golfer in the world should pick up just under $200,000 for the win.

Hill, 26, graduated from Western New Mexico in 2018 after playing four years on the men's golf team and served as assistant coach an additional two years while obtaining his Master's degree in business.

"We couldn't have a greater ambassador for our university and our golf program. If you have the heart and the work ethic you will be a success. Calum is proof that DII athletes can achieve just like the ones that attend big schools and we are so proud of him," said WNMU golf coach Kent Beatty.
