Waikoloa, HI – Playing on the beaches of Hawaii at the beautiful Waikoloa Beach Golf Course, the Western New Mexico University Men's Golf Team is tied in first after the first round of the Dennis Rose Invitational.Â
The Mustangs have four in the top-25, including Joey Geary (Phoenix, AZ/Sunnyslope HS) who sits in second. Geary is (-3), carding a 67. Adam Niles (Kamloops, BC/Valley View Secondary) is T7 shooting a 70 and is even on the day.
Arnav Arkanath (Milton Keyes, GB/Sir Henry Floyd HS) had a great day, finishing his round with a 71 and (+1). Arkanath will start round two tied in 14th. Aaron Perales (Deming, NM/Deming HS) is one stroke behind, ending round one with a 72 and T18.
Playing as an individual, Roman Romero (Albuquerque, NM/Manzano HS) shot a 74 and is T34. Adam Samnegard is T52, finishing with a 78.
