Tucson, AZ – WNMU's Brenda Dominguez (El Paso, Tx/Americas HS) continued her red-hot play this Spring with an impressive seventh-place finish at the WT Desert Spring Invite at Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson. Dominguez fired rounds of 78-72 to finish T7 in an extremely talented field of 17 teams and 88 players. The Mustangs finished 14th in the event after rounds of 330-312, while No. 5 Cal St. San Marcos bested No. 12 Grand Valley State, No. 7 Lynn and host No. 6 West Texas A&M to take home the trophy.
The Mustangs also got an excellent tournament from Julia Enriquez (El Paso, Tx/Eastwood HS) who shot rounds of 79-77 to finish T34. Shelby Turner (Deming, NM/Deming HS) closed out her regular season career in 62nd position with 81-82. Lexi Lucero (Ruidoso, NM/Ruidoso HS) finished 82nd (92-84) followed by Victoria Hart (Didcot, ENG/Sixth Form HS) in 83td with 96 and 81.
The Mustangs head to Abilene, TX for the Lonestar Conference Championship next week to end the 2018-19 campaign.
