Pueblo, CO. — The Western New Mexico Women's Golf team finished up the final round of the Southern Colorado Masters, March 23rd and finished in Tied 8th at the Walking Stick Golf Course in the 15 team field. They finished the day with a team score of +23 for a two round total of 314-311 for a (+49) total.
Alexandria Klemke (Goodyear, AZ/Estrella Foothills HS) led the way for the Mustangs, finishing with a final round of 74 (+2) for a +7 total and in T14th.
Corynn Speer (Alamogordo, NM/Alamogordo, HS) followed closely behind with a final round score of 73 (+1), for a two round total of 79-73 (+8), to finish up the event in a tie for 17th place.
Erin Turner (Deming, NM/Deming HS) was next for the Mustangs with a final round score of 81 (+9), for a two round total of 83-81 (+20) and a T60th finish individually.
Nicole Jasso (Deming, NM/Deming HS) ended the final day with a round of 83 (+11) to go along with her first round of 78 for a +17 total and finished in T50th. Rounding out the lineup for the Mustangs,
Falyn Lackey (Hobbs, NM/Hobbs HS) finished the final day with a score of 86 (+14), placing her in tied 65th with a +22 total. As an individual,
Kelly Peden (El Paso, TX/Eastwood HS) finished with a final round of 86 (+14) to finish the event with a +30 total and in 75th.
Next up, the Lady Mustangs will head to Goodyear, AZ for the RJGA Palm Valley Classic at the Palm Valley Golf Club, April 3-4th.
