Sturgis Resigns As Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach

Silver City, N.M-- Eric Sturgis announced his resignation Tuesday as the Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach, effective immediately.

Coach Sturgis sited, "personal and family health concerns" as reasons for his departure.

"We wish Eric all the best. Mustang Tennis will be in good hands under the guidance of Coach Heinze as we continue assembling this program, and putting the right pieces together," said Director of Athletics Scott Noble.

Assistant Coach Annely Heinze will take over the day-to-day duties of the tennis program until a new head coach is named. A search for a new Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach will begin immediately.
