Silver City, NM – The Mustangs conclude their homestand at the WNMU Tennis Courts against the UT Permian Basin Falcons.
The afternoon concluded with the Mustangs in their homestand, and after a hard-fought battle, where the Mustangs fell 3-4.
The fight started with the Mustangs teaming up for duo matches. The first duo to exit the court was
Djamel-Dine Bey (Paris, France/National Centre for Distance Education (Online)) and
Christopher Lund-Kuhl (Vaerloese, Denmark/Kruses Gymnasium) falling 3-6. The second duo to exit the court was
Benjamin Vriends (Mierlo, Netherlands/Sint Joriscollege) and
David Guta (Bucharest, Romania/Liceul Teoretic C.A. Rosetti (Romania)), claiming victory with 6-3.
Jack Semper (Hackney, London, UK/Stoke Newington School) and
Yannik Rogulski (Madunice, Slovakia/Archbishop's High School of Bishop P. Jantausch) left the court 3-6 last.
The matches continued into singles with Bey exiting the court first taking with him the victory with 6-2, 6-0. Rogulski exited the court second conceding the match 1-6, 4-6. Vriends later picked up the match and exited the court third with a victory on 6-2, 6-3. Guta left the court claiming victory 7-6, 6-2. Lud-Kuhl was fifth to exit the court, falling 7-6, 6-3. The last Mustang to exit the court was Semper who fought all three sets, but eventually fell 7-5, 6-1, 2-6.
This concluded the homestand by the Mustangs with a final score 3-4.
The Mustangs will continue their homestand at the WNMU Tennis Courts against the Lubbock Christian Chapparals tomorrow at the WNMU Tennis Courts at 01:00 PM
