The Mustangs dropped a close match to Sonoma State University on Friday afternoon, 5-4. “The singles came out strong after an almost disastrous day in doubles,” says head coach Erik Burton. But the No. 3 doubles pulled out a win along with
Kyle Lynch (Albuquerque, NM, New Mexico Military Institute High School),
Valu Fa (Suva, Fiji, Natabua High School, New Mexico Military Institute), and
Emmanuel Hecher (Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Colegio Pitagoras) at singles.
“Kyle, at No. 1 singles, is continuing to impress with a hugh win over Conner Olson (6-1, 6-2). Fa also have a great win at No. 4 singles over Quan Vu (6-4,6-3),” says Burton. “Our team unity is continuing to improve and our level of play will continue to show great progress.”
