SILVER CITY, N.M. – Western New Mexico University Athletics placed 119 student-athletes on the Lone Star Conference Spring 2026 Commissioner's Honor Roll, the conference office announced.
Among WNMU's honorees, 40 student-athletes earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average during the spring semester.
The Lone Star Conference recognized 2,794 individuals across its member institutions on the Spring 2026 Commissioner's Honor Roll. Of those recognized, 921 posted a perfect 4.00 GPA during the semester.
The Commissioner's Honor Roll is announced at the conclusion of the fall and spring semesters and recognizes individuals who achieve a minimum 3.30 grade-point average during the specified academic term. Eligible honorees must be listed on an institution's athletic roster or serve in athletic training, athletic performance or sports information roles.
WNMU's 119 honorees represented a wide range of Mustang programs, including basketball, cross country, football, golf, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball. The recognition highlights the department's continued commitment to excellence in the classroom while competing at a high level in the Lone Star Conference.
The Spring 2026 Commissioner's Honor Roll included participants from all 19 Lone Star Conference championship sports, three non-conference NCAA sports and student assistants supporting athletic departments throughout the conference.
