San Antonio, TX. — The Western New Mexico Women's Golf team finished up the final round of the Women's Rattler Invitational, February 24th in 12th place out of 17 teams. They finished the day with a team score of +24 for a three round total of 324-320-312 for a (+92) total.
Corynn Speer (Alamogordo, NM/Alamogordo, HS) led the way for the Mustangs, shooting a 75 (+3) in round three to go along with her first two rounds of 83-77 for a +19 total and a T41 finish.
Alexandria Klemke (Goodyear, AZ/Estrella Foothills HS) followed behind with a third round score of 81 (+9), for a three round total of 78-79-81 (+22), to finish up the event in a tie for 52nd place.
Falyn Lackey (Hobbs, NM/Hobbs HS) was next for the Mustangs with a final round score of 77 (+5), for a three round total of 80-84-77 (+25) and a T61 finish individually.
Nicole Jasso (Deming, NM/Deming HS) ended the final day with a round of 79 (+7) to go along with her first two rounds of 86-80 for a +29 total and finished in T72nd. Rounding out the lineup for the Mustangs,
Kelly Peden (El Paso, TX/Eastwood HS) finished the final day with a score of 88 (+16), placing her in tied 81st with a +40 total.
Next up, the Lady Mustangs will head to Litchfield Park, Arizona for the SMSU Spring Invite at the Wigwam Resort, March 9-10.
