SILVER CITY, N.M. – After two years with Mustang Athletics, Assistant Athletics Director for Communications Josh Brown has announced his resignation, effective July 31, 2025.

Brown joined Western New Mexico University in July 2023 and quickly elevated the department's digital presence, game day experience, and storytelling efforts across all platforms. Under his leadership, the university launched multi-camera broadcasts for football, basketball, and softball, strengthened livestream infrastructure, and expanded the reach of Mustang student-athletes through consistent and engaging content.

"It's been an honor to serve WNMU and be part of a department that truly values its student-athletes," said Brown. "From day one, I felt the trust to build, innovate, and grow something meaningful here. I'm incredibly grateful to Matt Enriquez, the coaches, staff, and especially the student-athletes who made this place special."

Brown departs WNMU to pursue a new professional opportunity that aligns with his continued growth in collegiate athletics administration.

"We're thankful for the passion and expertise Josh brought to Mustang Athletics," said Interim Director of Athletics Matt Enriquez. "He made a lasting impact and set a high standard for how we tell our story. We wish him the very best in his next chapter."
