Waikoloa, HI. — The Western New Mexico Women's Golf team finished up the final round of the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate, October 21th in a tie for 5th place out of nine teams. They finished the day with a team score of +50 for a two round total of 315-330 for a (+85) total.

Nicole Jasso (Deming, NM/Deming HS) led the way for the Mustangs, shooting an 80 (+10) in round two to go along with her 78 in round one for a +18 total and a T12 finish. Alexandria Klemke (Goodyear, AZ/Estrella Foothills HS) followed behind with a second round score of 81 (+11), for a two round total of 79-81 (+20), to finish up the event in a tie for 18th place. Falyn Lackey (Hobbs, NM/Hobbs HS) was next for the Mustangs with a second round score of 84 (+14), for a two round total of 78-84 (+22) and a T22 finish individually.

Corynn Speer (Alamogordo, NM/Alamogordo, HS) ended the second day with a round of 85 (+15) to go along with her 80 in round one for a +25 total and finished in T29th. Rounding out the lineup for the Mustangs, Erin Turner (Deming, NM/Deming HS) finished the final day with a score of 98 (+28), placing her in 45th with a +44 total.

Results

This brings an end to the fall season for the Lady Mustangs as they will now enter the offseason. They will begin their spring season in Los Angeles, CA for the LA Spring Kickoff, February 2nd.
