Waikoloa, HI. — The Western New Mexico Women's Golf team finished up the first round of the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate, October 20th in 6th place out of nine teams. They finished the opening day with a team score of 315 for a (+35) total.

Nicole Jasso (Deming, NM/Deming HS) and Falyn Lackey (Hobbs, NM/Hobbs HS) led the way for the Mustangs, with both shooting 78 (+8) in round one. They are currently in a tie for 15th place in the field of 49. Alexandria Klemke (Goodyear, AZ/Estrella Foothills HS) followed behind with an opening round score of 79 (+9) which currently has her in a tie for 22nd place.

Corynn Speer (Alamogordo, NM/Alamogordo, HS) ended the first day with a round of 80 (+10) placing her in T26. Rounding out the lineup for the Mustangs, Erin Turner (Deming, NM/Deming HS) finished the opening day with a score of 86 (+16), placing her in a tie for 41st.

Results

The Lady Mustangs will continue tomorrow, October 21st for the second round of the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate as they look to end the fall season strongly at Waikoloa Beach Golf Club.
