Pueblo, CO. — The Western New Mexico Women's Golf team finished up the final round of the NCAA DII Regional Preview October 14th with 18 holes at Pueblo Country Club. They finished the day one spot up, in nineteenth place with a two-round team score of 324-325 for a (+81) total.

Corynn Speer (Alamogordo, NM/Alamogordo, HS) led the way for the Mustangs again, with a consistent second round 77 (+6) to go with her 78 in round one and finish with a +13 total, moving up 6 spots to finish in a tie for 30th in the 110 player field. Alexandria Klemke (Goodyear, AZ/Estrella Foothills HS) followed behind with a second round score of 81 (+10) to finish the tournament with an 81-81 (+20) total in T71st. Falyn Lackey (Hobbs, NM/Hobbs HS) was next for the Lady Mustangs with a final round 82, to finish the tournament at 82-82 (+22) in T79.

Nicole Jasso (Deming, NM/Deming HS) ended the second day with a round of 85 to go along with her 83 yesterday which left her at +26 for the tournament in a tie for 95th. Rounding out the lineup for the Mustangs, Erin Turner (Deming, NM/Deming HS) finished the day with a score of 88 (+17), finishing the event with a total of +35, placing her in 104th.

Results

The Lady Mustangs will continue the fall with one last event as they travel to Waikoloa, Hawaii for the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate, October 20th at Waikoloa Beach Golf Club.
