Las Vegas, New Mexico - The WNMU Mustangs Women's Cross Country teams continue off their 2024 season at the HU XC Jam for a 5000m invitational hosted by New Mexico Highlands University.
The Lady Mustangs finished off the race as a team in second place, with 36 points overall. Individually for the women,
Itzela Darkenwald (Conroe, TX/Caney Creek High School) powered through the finish line with a time of twenty minutes and ten seconds (20:10). Also, in the 20 minute barrier was
Rayen Martinez (), who crossed the line at twenty minutes and twenty-five seconds (20:25),
McKenna Sahd (Angelo Fire, NM/Cimarron High School), who finished at twenty minutes and fifty-four seconds (20:54), and Jeanette Rivera, who crossed at twenty minutes and fifty-seven seconds (20:57).
