ROHNERT PARK, Calif. - The Western New Mexico University Men's golf team competed in the West/South Central Regional at Foxtail GC. The Mustangs currently sit T-2nd at (+1).
Leading the way is Joey Geary (Phoenix, AZ/Sunnyslope HS), T-4th at (-2), shooting a 70. Geary recorded six birdies on day one.Â
T-14th is Anthony Lara (Anthony, NM/Gadsden HS) and Arnav Arkanath (Milton Keyes, GB/Sir Henry Floyd HS) at E, with scorecards of 72. Lara and Arkanath each had five birdies in round one.
Adam Niles (Kamloops, BC/Valley View Secondary) sits T-46th at (+3) with a 75. Niles would have three birdies for the day.
Adam Samnegard (Norrkoping, SWE/Hagagymnasiet HS/Garden City CC) rounds out the line T-74th at (+5), with a card of 77. Samnegard would gain one birdie today.Â
Colorado Christian leads the tournament at (-7). Tying the Mustangs at (+1) for second is Stanislaus State and Simon Fraser.Â
Peyton Jones of Colorado Christian leads the tournament at (-6). T-2nd is Nathan Jetton of Stanislaus State and Griffin Pace of Sonoma State sit at (-4).
The Mustangs will begin round two tomorrow at 9:50 AM MT.
