Box Score Silver City, N.M. - The Western New Mexico University Womens tennis team hosted the University of Texas at Permian Basin. The Mustangs would lose to the Falcons 5-2.

In doubles, the Mustangs win the doubles point. No.1 Caini Wang (New Taipei City, Taiwan/Taipei Municipal Nangang Vocational High School) and Kasja Gredlitschka had a solid performance winning, 6-3. No. 2 Jenny Larsson (Stockholm, Sweden) and Livia Leite (Cunha-SP, Brazil/Bernardino Querido,)
had a great showing, winning 6-4. At No.3 Willemijn Van Mierlo (Amsterdam, Netherlands/Calandlyceum) and Mann-Ning Li (Converse, TX/John H. Guyer HS) put their best efforts in before falling, 6-4.

In singles, playing the No. 4 position, Wang defeated her opponent, 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 In the. No. 5 spot, Li would lose a close knit match in a tiebreaker at 6-4, 3-6, 6-7 (4-7).

Playing in the No.1 position, Larsson would fall 7-5, 6-4. Van Mierlo played No. 2 singles and she fell 0-6, 6-4, 4-6. No. 3 singles, Livia Leite (Cunha-SP, Brazil/Bernardino Querido,) played well before being edged out
6-4, 6-1. Andrea Arnautu had a hard fought match before falling 6-4, 6-2.

The Mustangs will be back in some more LSC action on March 10 th to face UT Tyler, playing in Tyler, TX.
