ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The Western New Mexico University Women's golf team made the trip up north for the FLC Nick Turner Invite. After round one, the Mustangs sit in 4
th at (+16), 304.
Out in front for the Mustangs are
Chelsea Medina (Silver City, NM/Silver HS) and freshman
Brooklynn Maes (Las Cruces, NM/Centennial HS) currently T-9
th at (+3). Maes had three birdies.
Three Mustangs all sit T-20
th at (+5),
Shandiin Harper (Farmington, NM/Piedra Vista HS),
Falyn Lackey (Hobbs, NM/Hobbs HS) and
Taysea Powell (Artesia, NM/Artesia HS) (Individual). Powell made three birdies, while Lackey and Harper had one a piece.
Alexandria Klemke (Goodyear, AZ/Estrella Foothills HS) rounds out the lineup at (+9), T-40
th.
Jasmin Krishna of CSEB holds down first at (-2). Zoey Rodriquez of CSU-Pueblo and Lauren Hickman of CSSM are tied for second at (-1).
Cal State San Marcos and Cal State East Bay are tied for first at (+7). Colorado State-Pueblo is in third at (+13).
The Mustangs will resume play tomorrow at 8 AM MT.
