RESULTS
Irvine, CA - The Western New Mexico University Men's Track team competed their 2022 track season at the University of California-Irvine, April 29-30. Five Mustangs competed in the meet all which had a great showing to wrap up their season.
Running in the Men's 1500 meter run,
Aaron Perez (El Paso. TX/Eastwood High School) finished in 46th place with a time of 4:02.72.
Cody Hepker (Albuquerque, NM/Sandia HS) also competed in the same race placing 67th and finished with a time of 4:13.70. Also competing in the Men's 5000 meter run,
Aaron Perez (El Paso. TX/Eastwood High School) placed 8th with a total time of 14:48.98 followed by
Cody Hepker (Albuquerque, NM/Sandia HS) in 16th place with a time of 15:05.47.
Joshua Lara (Albuquerque, NM/Atrisco Heritage Academy HS) ended in 33rd with a time of 15:20.37. Coming in 44th,
Dylan Walker (El Paso. TX/Burges High School) ended with a time of 15:39.79 followed by
Ahren Thorson () in 45th with a time of 15:41.47.
The Mustang Track team will work during the off-season to get ready and be prepared to begin their 2022 Cross Country season in the fall.
